Dear Members NATIONAL RALLY SITE The Mornington Racecourse is the location for the 1st National Rally. The racecourse is located on Racecourse Road, Mornington, the site is compact with top quality facilities. The Rally site will be broken into three areas:

Community Precinct – includes grandstand rooms, dining, food, bar, indoor and outdoor traders, motorcycle manufacturers. The area consists of lawn area called the Glen Abery Memorial Lawn and The Grandstand. All entertainment will be provided in this zone, and the Road Safety Forum and Extended NatCom meetings will be held on level 1 of the Grandstand.

Campground North – camping area including tent city, medical sites and RV sites. The parking area will be located on the Racecourse Road edge of this area (within the fence line).

Campground South – camping area including camping and RV sites. Toilet/Shower facilities will locate in a central location between the two campground areas for ease of access. The areas of the site are within easy walking distances of each other.

Glen Abery – member #64113 was the original Rally Secretary for 2019 National Rally; and the driving force behind the 1st National Rally coming to Mornington Peninsula. Glen with her husband Robin, were regular attendees of the AGM events, always in the camping area and partying with friends and family from the Ulysses Club. Glen always volunteered at AGM events and was a very enthusiastic member for promoting of Ulysses Club Inc in the community. Unfortunately, Glen lost her battle to cancer in early 2017. The Organising Team believes that her spirit is with us for the National Rally, and as her favourite colour was green, the Lawn area where the social activities are going to take place is the best way to remember her. Glen’s legacy includes encouraging all members to participate in the National Rally by attending and volunteering; and her love of Mornington Peninsula. We encourage all attendees to participate in all activities at the National Rally in the knowledge that Glen’s is partying with fellow Ulyssians from above.

To register as a volunteer at 2019 National Rally, please register via Online Volunteer Registration form website http://agm2019.ulyssesclub.org/Volunteers.aspx We encourage all attendees to volunteer as our club’s national rally cannot operate without our lovely volunteers. If every attendee volunteered for 1-2 shifts, we would not need to call for volunteers throughout the rally week, and everyone would have an opportunity to enjoy the rally. Volunteering offers people the opportunity in participating with the running of their National Rally, meeting members and guests from branches and international clubs; and provides a sense of wellbeing for just volunteering. If you cannot volunteer online, please contact our Volunteers Coordinator – Paul Butler on 0438551450. So jump ONLINE NOW and sign up to volunteer – the more the merrier!!

Dinner Bus Services are being organised with three different routes commencing from Dromana, Hastings and Frankston. Routes will not be confirmed until closer to the National Rally as routes will need to be determined based on the responses from members registrations and their accommodation locations. In some case, members will need to proceed to the nearest pick up point, rather than be picked up directly from their accommodation.
The booking of the bus service is a user pay system and if you do not have a ticket (pass), you will not be allowed to board the bus. We strongly encourage members and their guests to include the bus service bookings in their registrations, to enable us to the formulate the bus routes and cater to the member’s who are staying off-site.
