Newsletter #3 - August 2018
From the National Rally Director
Dear Members

Welcome to the third e-newsletter for the 2019 Ulysses Club National Rally. At the time of writing this e-newsletter there was only 183 days to the start of the rally. We always find it hard to explain where time is going and, when involved in organising an event like this time just seems to be on a jet-propelled motorcycle and we always seem to be trying to keep up. But do not be concerned, we have a hard-working professional team that is determined to ensure everything is in place on time for a great National Rally for all members.

We are currently finalising an agreement with Searoad Ferries in Queenscliff. Ulysses Club members will be able to receive a 10% discount on Ferry travel between Queenscliff and Sorrento. The discount applies to all forms of transport and will be available from the week before the National Rally to the week after. To receive the discount members must book their travel on line through the Searoad Ferries website. I will provide you with the promotional code and further information in the next e-newsletter.

Website & Riding On
The Riding On will only contain basic information about the 2019 Ulysses Club National Rally. The rally website is where you will find up to date detailed information about the week’s events and the local area. So, to ensure that you have the latest information and updates in relation to the 2019 Ulysses Club National Rally visit the website on a regular basis  (click on the link or copy and paste the link to your browser) http://agm2019.ulyssesclub.org/

The following link (also updated regularly) will provide you access to the latest tourism information for the Mornington Peninsula. The guide is packed with valuable information that will assist your holiday planning.

Registration Portal
Work is being done on the National Rally registration portal and is nearly complete, the portal is expected to be open to members in early September. You will receive e-notification once the portal is online.

Early Bird Registration
There is a great motorcycle holiday to be won so ensure you register by the 11th January 2019 to be eligible to win this fantastic prize.

We are currently in discussions with a Multi Brand motorcycle retailer and are hopeful that they will support and attend the 2019 Ulysses Club National Rally. This will provide members with the opportunity to review a motorcycle with the manufacturer and then organise the purchase with the retailer all in the one place. The retailer will also be able to provide a wide range of motorcycle apparel and accessories.

Letterbox Drop (Victorian Members)
The Mornington Shire Council has requested that we hold a community information session in relation to the Rally and specifically the Grand Parade and Civic Welcome Ceremony. The community information session is planned for Thursday 25th October at 7pm. To ensure that the local community is informed of the public meeting we will be undertaking a letterbox drop to local residents on Saturday 6th October 2018. The Letterbox Drop is a requirement of the Mornington Peninsula Shire and approval for the permit applications for Grand Parade & Civic Welcome Ceremony.

Date: 6 October 2018
Time: 1.00pm
Meet Point: The Peninsula Community Theatre (carpark)
Cnr Wilson Road & Nepean Highway

We are requesting assistance from local branch members for the letter drop delivery to approximately 3500 addresses. The higher number of people involved in doing this letter drop will be a benefit to the amount of walking required and the time it will take to finish the letter drop. Any assistance receive from branch members would be greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in assisting, please advise 2019 National Rally Secretary - Deborah Boehm via email: agm2019eventsecretary@gmail.com or 0418135834.

The Organising Committee appreciates the support being provided. The more the merrier.

See you in summer for the 2019 National Rally.

You don’t have to wash your hair every time you shower though. I take a shower every day but only wash my hair about every 3 days.

For reference I've got curly/wavy hair, but it isn't really a tight kind of curl. It's these loose curls/wave that I'm sure would be great if I was a girl and had hair down to my shoulders or below, but at the length of a haircut for men it just becomes kinda troublesome and annoying usually since it never seems to be in the right place.
